I turned off auto-subscribe. I have been able to follow the FAQ fairly easily. My hosting service doesn't have a manual and the only one I saw online was very confusing.
The FAQ (link on www.procmail.org) should tell where the Manual is (in the Smartlist package!). It's always difficult to support people who have only limited access to the MLM system. In such a case your provider should support you with all the necessary information.
Some hints for your problem:
- are the adresses in the dist file? - is the dist file linked with the accept file? - what's written to the log with "VERBOSE=yes"?
