Conference goals The Latin America Networking Conference 2005 will provide an international technical forum for experts from industry and academia everywhere in the world, but especially from the Latin American countries, to exchange ideas and present results of ongoing research in networking.
Topics of Interest Topics include but are not restricted to: * Low cost access networks * Sensor and actor networks * Low rate communications * National/Regional communication infrastructures * Wireless and Mobile Networking * PC Cluster computation * Applications for productivity * Internet based applications * Network management * Network security * Optical Networks * Protocols and routing * Satellite communication systems * Next generation Internet and network architectures * Peer-to-Peer communications * Photonic networks Submission of papers that cover solutions of specific network problems of the Latin America region is especially encouraged.

Submission of Papers Papers should be uploaded electronically, preferably in .pdf format, to the conference website: http://lanc05.uib.es . For general questions, contact lanc05@hotmail.com . The first page must contain an abstract of about 150 words, name and affiliation of author(s), as well as the lead authors postal address, telephone numbers, fax numbers, and e-mail. Authors submitting a paper must state that it has not been published before and is not being submitted elsewhere. Full papers should have no more than 15 pages, and follow the style to be announced soon. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and distributed to the conference attendees. At least one of the authors must register at the regular fee at the conference and attend the conference to present the paper. Conference proceedings will be published by ACM SIGCOMM in its Digital Library (confirmation pending). Submitted papers must be in English; accepted papers must be presented in English.
Tutorials Proposals for half/full day tutorials are solicited: state subject area, level, goals and objectives, and give a short biography of the speaker(s). Proposals should be sent to the email address of the conference, to the attention of the chairman of the Program Committee.
