We are pleased to announce that 20 free registrations are provided by the Congress Organizers to assist the participation of representatives from Developing Countries in the 17th IFIP Congress in Montreal.
In reviewing the applications, the Organizers will give priority to participants with accepted papers and participants from countries which are not represented (or underrepresented) so far. Women IT specialists are encouraged to apply.
E-Applications should be submitted by 15 July 2002 latest to Mr. George Boynton, Chairman, Congress 2002 Organizing Committee E-mails: george@cips.ca, contact-wcc2002@cips.ca
IFIP Full Member Societies in developing countries are also entitled to use the IFIP Voucher scheme [ref. http://www.ifip.or.at/minutes/C99/C99_part6.htm#a1 ] to partially offset expenses for their Congress participants.
The Organizers have also applied for a UNESCO grant to assist Conference participants from developing countries and if this application is approved additional information about application procedures would be circulated.
