Dear all,
here comes a call for participation for WiOpt 05.
It is listed in our conference calendar as: ----- WiOpt'05; Modeling and Optimization in Mobile, Ad-hoc and Wireless Networks; April 4-6, 2005; Trento (Italy). WG 6.3; Email contact: Eitan Altman URL: http://www.wiopt.org/ -----
But here it is only mentioned near the very end as number 10 of 10 sponsors. We loose our terrain more and more.

First Call for Participation
*** WiOpt'05 ***
The 3rd International Symposium on Modeling and Optimization in Mobile, Ad Hoc, and Wireless Networks (WiOpt05)
Riva del Garda, Trentino, Italy, April 3-7, 2005
IMPORTANT DATES Early registration deadline: ** March 3, 2005 **
SCOPE OF THE SYMPOSIUM ----------------------
Wireless, mobile, and ad hoc networks still represent a scientific and technological challenge that is not easily mastered. To fully harness the potential of these systems, pivotal characteristics have to be captured in appropriate models to understand the mechanics of the solutions and interdependencies between system assumptions and given solutions. Such models and such understanding open the way for an optimization of a solution by properly tuning parameters but also by looking for entirely new approaches and ideas. The goal of this symposium is to create a forum for presenting new results and exchanging ideas in this flourishing field. By bringing together academia and industry we hope to stimulate new opportunities for collaborations.
We are fortunate to have a distinguished scientist as plenary speaker. Professor Anurag Kumar of the Indian Institute of Science is a renowned researcher in networking and was instrumental in his leadership in engineering the early internet infrastructure in India during the early 90's.
To give proper consideration to new topics in this rapidly developing field, for the first time this year we included four adjunct workshops into the WiOpt symposium format. They are dedicated to Measurements in Wireless Networks (WiNMee), Resource Allocation in Wireless Networks (RAWNET), Spatial Stochastic Model for Wireless Networks (SPASWIN), and Network Coding, Theory, and Applications (NETCOD). We hope that you have a chance to visit these workshops as well.
Please find enclosed information concerning registration, and the preliminary WiOpt 2005 technical program.
We look forward to hosting you in Trentino!
