"Making e-commerce and e-business applications successful through management"

As e-commerce and e-business applications grow to be a prominent part of day-to-day business, management technologies that support them gain in importance. The 13th DSOM workshop will focus on the underlying technologies that are key to the success of e-commerce and e-business applications, assuring quality of service, security and trust, end-to-end service management and ubiquity. Authors are invited to submit research and experience papers as well as lessons learnt contributions on the following and related topics:
* End-to-end service provisioning, modeling * End-to-end QoS management * Support for virtual enterprises and communities * Transaction management and monitoring * Inter-Domain management * Intelligent environments and smart assistants * Peer-to-peer technologies * Management issues in m-commerce * Ubiquitous computing models for e-commerce * Management architectures for e-commerce and e-business * Security architectures for e-commerce and e-business * Mobility management * Management of middleware and distributed object platforms * Supporting tools, protocols and architectures for e-commerce and e-business * Managing personalized services and interfaces * Adaptive services and applications * Trust models and management * Management of content delivery and distribution networks
The workshop will be limited to approximately 100 participants and will follow a single-track program in order to allow for in-depth discussions and interaction among workshop participants.
Paper submissions must represent original, unpublished research or experiences. Submissions of late-breaking advances and early results from ongoing research are encouraged. Papers under review elsewhere must not be submitted to DSOM 2002.
There will be formal proceedings of the Workshop in paper and possibly in electronic form. Authors are invited to submit papers (up to 12 single-spaced pages) in electronic PDF or Postscript format. Detailed instructions for submission will be available at the workshop website.
