Please notice that the WG 6.8 scope was updated with the inclusion of
"Ad-hoc networks". This was approved in the last IFIP Technical Assembly. I
attach the updated TC6 handbook.
Could Herbert please update our web page?
Best regards
Augusto Casaca
Dear TC6 members,
The location for the first TC6 meeting in 2003 is still open for
invitations. The meeting should occur in April or May. Please let me know as
soon as possible if any of you would wish to organize that meeting.
I remind you that our second meeting in 2003 is scheduled to take place in
Oman.
Best regards
Augusto Casaca
Dear TC6 members,
Let me indicate you a provisional scheduling of our next TC6 meeting in
Lisbon.
Saturday (October 5th):
9.00 - 13.00: TC6 meeting
14.00 - 18.00: TC6 meeting + TC6 30th anniversary celebrations (exact time
to be communicated later on)
19.00: TC6 30th anniversary dinner.
Sunday (October 6th):
9.00 - 13.00: TC6 meeting
15.00 - 19.00: Visit to Lisbon included in the TC6 30th anniversary
celebration.
You notice a scheduling for our meeting which is a bit different from usual,
but our 30th anniversary celebration justifies it. Our business meeting will
be a bit shorter than the previous ones but I will try to prepare an agenda
in which al the important issues can be dealt with within the allocated
time. The agenda will be sent later on.
Have a nice weekend

Dear TC6 members,
I attach the list of presences for our TC6 meeting in Lisbon as of today.
I would kindly ask all those TC6 members who have not advised yet whether
they will be attending our meeting to send me a message indicating whether
they will be present.
In the list of attendees the name of Sarolta Dibuz is missing as I did not
receive an indication on her name from the hotel, but I know that she will
be here. Could Sarolta please clarify this point?
Best regards
Augusto

- studies of their formal properties;
- techniques, methods and tools for their implementation;
- exploitation of programming styles within different programming paradigms;
- automatic and manual methods for reasoning about programs; and
- the design and invention of systems and tools to assist in
exploitation of the languages.
Contributions bridging the gap between theory and practice are
particularly welcome. Topics traditionally covered by ESOP include:
programming paradigms and their integration, semantics,
