We were penguins last year and what about this one?
Isn’t the time to expand our horizons and look in the sky? We think it is.:)
So, after the last year exciting and successful workshop it is both our honor and a privilege to announce this year’s on topic of Inertial Navigation Systems or as we like to call it - INSoBLia (Inertial Navigation Systems October 2012 Banja Luka In Air) from 21st until 27th October.
First two days of lectures will cover the basics of flying from historical, technical and licensing point of view. Later on, we will get into serious technical details of the navigation systems that aircrafts are using. In the afternoons, we will be paying visits to the nearby airport, aero club and the helicopter service. By visiting these places, you will be able to see how theory is applied in practice.
As always, one day in our beautiful city is reserved for exciting rafting on our beauty Vrbas where the European Championship 2005, Euro Cup 2007 and World Championship 2009 had been hosted.
Already sounds interesting? Well, we are not done!
The highlight of the week is your practical work in our laboratory for electronics. After attending lectures and hearing about inertial navigation systems, you will be able to make one! You'll get to play around with accelerometers and microcontrollers, the actual components of an inertial navigation system. Of course, since the workshop focuses on the INS, it is required that you are already familiar with the basic concepts of a microcontroller and here is a site that could help: http://mucrofe.blogspot.com/2011/03/basic-concept.html.
Apart of the lectures, visits, and playing in laboratory, you’ll get to know our city, delicious and traditional meals and of course Banja Luka’s well known night life.
