Dear EESTECers,
LC Munich is proud to announce that we will organize an event never done
before: The soon-to-be-legendary Oktoberfest Exchange!
It will take place between Wednesday the 29th September and Tuesday the
4th October.
A few words regarding the concept of this exchange: There will be no
lectures, however, entertainment during your stay in Munich will be cared
for. We will accommodate you privately, since there is no way to get a
hotel spot in Munich during Oktoberfest without paying ridiculous prices.
Unfortunately we have to ask a participation fee of 90€. This includes
beer and food at the Oktoberfest worth 27€. Be advised, however, that you
will very likely spend a lot more money on beer -- one beer is 8.50€.
Munich is generally an expensive place during the Oktoberfest, but as
usual, everything except for drinks is included for our participants.
The exchange will include two visits to the famous "Wiesn" along with
sightseeing to famous places such as Neuschwanstein, a nearby castle built
by Bavarian King Ludwig II.
For various organisational reasons we unfortunately cannot accept more
than 10-12 participants, the exact number is yet to be announced. We
encourage you very much to apply, after all this is a once in a lifetime
opportunity (unless we do it again next year) to visit the famous
Okotberfest with few fellow EESTECers!! Don't miss out and send your

medicine or the ethical issues here? Or would you like to know how
doctors can act more responsible in their fields using moral competences?
Join the European Week of Ethics!
*The first European Week of Ethics*, will be held from *2-7 September
2010* in Vienna.
Aim of the European Week of Ethics is to let members of different
students' organizations learn more about the latest developments within
different fields of medicine and discuss the ethical issues which might
arise and the moral competences which should be used.
The theme of this week will be “*Ethics in Genetics*” and will be
organized by *AMSA (Austrian Medical Students' Association)*.
Genetics in medicine is an imaginative theme, which is still largely
unknown, but which science is exploring massively! After all, who has
knowledge about DNA, has got the world in his hands! Developments will
have major implications for the development of new drugs and therapies
in the oncology and for infectious diseases like HIV. But these
developments will also have implications for prenatal diagnosis and
perhaps it will be possible for parents to decide which characteristics
their children
should have in the future!
The ethical questions concerning “*research, social impact and law*”
will be discussed during this interesting week! For further information

Die Russen aus St.Petersburg sind da und wir haben wieder einen Tag
Aufenthalt in Paris. Einer ist kurzfrisstig abgesprungen, wegen
Klausurstress, also haben wir einen Platz frei:
Morgen ist der Tag in Paris:
Abfahrt heute Nacht um 1:30
Ankuft in Paris morgen früh
Abfahrt von Paris morgen abend
und Ankunft in Aachen am Samstag morgen.
Wir fahren mit einem Bus. Mit dabei sind 10 Russen, ca 30 Ukrainer
(Maschinenbau Austausch) 3 Leute von Eestec Aachen (Austauschpartner der
Russen) und einige Maschienenbauer aus Aachen. Damit wäre ein Bus von 60
Personen gefüllt.
Kostenpunkt: Bus: 22,- , Eintritt in verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten
zahlt ihr selbst. Für Verplegung müsst ihr ebenfalls selbst sorgen. (Ist
immer noch die günstigste Alternative die es gibt...)
