* FILM "THE TRUTH...YATHHARTH". SYNOPSIS : The story is about a Budhai and his daughter whose life's joys are entwined with the deaths of people. Budhai - a DOM - one who burns dead bodies in crematorium - lives in a crematorium outside the village with his daughter Bijuria. Hunger and poverty plague them as the only time he can earn some food is when somebody dies. Bijuria is elated whenever she sees a dead body as it is a promise of food and new clothes. As time passes, Bijuria becomes habituated to dance with joy whenever she sees a dead body. Apart from her father, she is in contact with only two other people - Raghu, a young boy and Jeete, a truck driver. As she grows up into a beautiful young girl, some local youth notice her beauty and try to molest her but is rescued by Jeete. Since the Panchayat is upset with Jeete, Budhai saves Jeete's life by saying that Jeete is Bijuria's would be husband. Jeete and Bijuria are married. Jeete goes on his job. Life is moving on for Bijuria with memories and het wait for Jeete. One day, a dead body comes to the crematorium. She reacts to see the dead body. Her psyche takes over, she gets up and starts dancing. During the dance she realizes that it is Jeete's dead body, who has died in accident. Her dance becomes so furious as if it is her last. SYNOPSIS :
Wonderful Moments is all about the wonderful moments that Adam Bedi experiences during his stay with the family of Mr. Devrajan Iyengar, in one of the Southern states of India.
Adam, a handsome young lad, was the son of Mr. Devrajan's childhood friend, Hari Bedi. Hari Bedi had migrated to the U.S. and had married an American woman whom he later divorced. The estranged relationship between Hari and his wife was in a way instrumental in making Adam go astray.
At the pretext of a cultural exchange programme Mr. Devrajan requested Hari Bedi to send Adam to India. Hari Bedi agreed for he thought that his son should know his roots and become aware of family values that were still a pillar of strength in the Indian socio-cultural milieu.
And awareness did strike Addy - from 'a heck of it' journey to India to the realization of a strong bond betwixt the family members of Mr. Devrajan's household. Whether it was the old Ammaye, mother of Devrajan - an orthodox woman, who enlightened his perspectives towards life, Devrajan's wife Subbalaxmi, who would not eat till the guest had not returned home or Jayanthi - Devrajan's daughter, with whom he could feel his talent feelings of love surface. But most of all his own self - his gratification permeated around everyone - was responsible for the realisation.
A few weeks of stay made Adam feel that he would be returning to the U.S as a changed person, someone who had understood the importance of family values.
And Adam also knew that whenever he would have a family, it would be a happy one like Mr. Devrajan's.
