It might be a bug. But currently i am unable to reproduce it:

I only modified my install path and the compiler paths to match the ones on my system. But it compiles and installs fine. Did you switch the build type in cmake after the initial configuration?
Can you check your cmake version? Cmake version here is 2.8.9.

As one can see, the cmake command uses the default Debug configuration, so why is the install configuration "Release" used?
Is this a bug?
