Hi sir,I am a gradutate student majored in CG, trying to use your convinient and excellent framework. My programming environment is Win7 64bit + VS2012 + Qt 5.2However, I failed to compile the source code at the very last step. The error message is as follows:
5> -- verified='0'5> -- info='external prerequisites found:5> f='D:/opensource/source_code/OpenFlipper/build/Build/OpenFlipper.exe'5> external_prereqs='ADVAPI32.dll;CRYPT32.dll;DNSAPI.dll;GDI32.dll;GLU32.dll;KERNEL32.dll;OPENGL32.dll;SHELL32.dll;USER32.dll;VCOMP110D.DLL;VERSION.dll;WINMM.dll;WS2_32.dll;ole32.dll'5> '5> -- 5> CMake Error at C:/Program Files (x86)/CMake 2.8/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/BundleUtilities.cmake:784 (message):5>CUSTOMBUILD : error : verify_app failed5> Call Stack (most recent call first):5> C:/Program Files (x86)/CMake 2.8/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/BundleUtilities.cmake:666 (verify_app)5> fixbundle.win.cmake:34 (fixup_bundle)
each external dll would provoke such a warning like:
5>CUSTOMBUILD : warning : cannot resolve item 'WS2_32.dll'5> 5> possible problems:5> need more directories?5> need to use InstallRequiredSystemLibraries?5> run in install tree instead of build tree?5> 5>CUSTOMBUILD : -- warning : gp_resolved_file_type non-absolute file 'WS2_32.dll' returning type 'other' -- possibly incorrect
I've tried to add the dll's path to the cmake file, but it did not make any difference. Anyway, this problem solely prevents packing all dependencies to the Build Directory. Then, I tried to run the exe file in debug configuration. The whole interface is correctly opened. Unfotunately, when I started loading an obj file, the program corrupted, the output and stack information are shown as below:
I'd really appreciate it for your kind reply.
Best,Longhua
Hello,
I am trying to remesh a discrete surface (vtp) that has pretty bad triangles. I try to use the uniform remeshing tool, and it does a great job of creating a quality mesh with quality triangle.
The only problem is that the mesh doesn’t preserve the boundary edges; it smooths them out. I am meshing this object for CFD purposes, and I need to retain the boundary between two surfaces in order to identify them by the difference in normals,
and apply boundary conditions to each surface.
Is this possible with Open Flipper?
Thanks!

Hi,
today we released OpenMesh 3.0. OpenMesh 3.0 is fully backward
compatible with the 2.x branch. We marked some functions which should
not be used anymore as deprecated and added hints which functions should
be used instead.
The most important change in this release is that we reimplemented all
circulators to be STL compliant. There are also various minor bug fixes
and compatibility changes for new compilers included.
As usual the full changelog is available on our Website:
http://openmesh.org/Documentation/OpenMesh-Doc-Latest/a00002.html
Best,
Jan Möbius
Some hints on what changed regarding iterator usage:
// stl compliance
Deprecated: vh_iter.handle()
New: *vh_iter
// stl compliance and cleaner code
mesh.point(fv_iter)
mesh.point(*fv_iter)
// This change makes sure, that we don't get wrong implicit casts to
// bool anymore
Deprecated: while( vf_iter )
New: while( vf_iter.is_valid() )
If you dereference the iterator ( *vf_iter) you will get the handle. It
is now also possible to use the -> operator. E.g.:
vf_iter->idx() //Get the index of the handle at the current iterator pos

Hi,
I am implementing a plugin to toggle the display of some default meshes. In
my program, I want to save the ID for each mesh filename. Is there a NoID
value that I can save to indicate that the mesh is not yet loaded or has
been unloaded?

Hello,
Plugin-Smoother adds 2 "Smoother" entries to the plugin widget. See
attached screenshot. One of them is the "correct one", i.e. it has an
associated icon and toolbox, while the other one has neither.
Editing the view mode to move Smoother from Visible to Available removes
both entries from the plugin widget.
I went over SmootherPlugin.cc to investigate the cause but could not find
it.
How do I remove the incorrect, repeated entry from the plugin widget?
Best regards,
Waqar
Hi,
OpenFlipper includes source codes of OpenMesh and OpenVolumeMesh, and they are compiled by default. If I already have OpenMesh and OpenVolumeMesh installed, is it possible to disable the compilation of their integrated version in OpenFlipper, and replace them with the installed version?
Best regards,
Bailin
Hello,
When building OpenFlipper, how can I disable a plugin without renaming its
directory?
I would expect some option passed to openflipper_plugin() in the plugin's
CMakeLists.txt but could not find any documentation for that.
Looking at common.cmake it, say, DISABLE_PLUGIN_SimplePlugin is defined,
then it will be disabled. But I cannot figure out where and how to define
DISABLE_PLUGIN_SimplePlugin.
Sorry if this is too trivial. I do not know CMake well enough,
Best regards,
Waqar
Dear,
I've got an error message"Error in configuration process, project files may
be invalid" while I tried to cmake using CMake 2.8.11 GUI and msvc 2010 on
windows 7 64bit.
According to the tutorial, I already set "QTDIR" to QT4.8.5 directory and
"glew" and "glut" directories also on the cmake gui , but still the error
occurs.
I have other version of msvc compiler( msvc 2008, 2010, 2012) also.
Please give me your comments about this trouble or could you offer the msvc
project file made already by cmake?
Best,
In Yeop Jang
