I'm sorry but actually Section 5. is not an answer to Jeff's question. I had tryied some time ago to fill DIST list editing it in my PC and it never worked. Initially I thought that it was caused by the <CR><LF> versus <LF> difference between MS-Windows and Unix, but it was't. A friend of mine finally got it done using X-commands, something that requires programing skills, and that it is non mentioned in Section 5. My friend told me that smartlist keeps a copy of DIST in memory, and that smartlist didn't update automatically changes in the DIST file unless the where performed using X-commands. I'm not a programer, so there are probably some inacuracies in my tale. On 11 Jan 2001, at 21:37, Peter Hartzler wrote:

I host where I have my web site uses Smartlist. I have set up a news letter for my church and need to know how I can add a list of email address to the mailing list without having to enter each address manually from the subscribe page.
Is there a way of doing this?
Thank you,
Jeff Kerry
