I would like to let you know about the screening dates and times for the feature films "A Taste of Jupiter" and "Punch and Judy" at the Cannes Market Screenings. "A Taste of Jupiter" May 16 at 9:30 am Riviera 5 "Punch and Judy" May 23rd at 2 pm Riviera 4 I'll be attending the Cannes Film Festival along with Derek Diorio, President of Distinct. As a backgrounder - Distinct Features has produced four feature films since we set up shop in 1999. Our first feature ­ "House of Luk" screened at the 2000 Montreal World Film Festival and the 2001 Palm Springs International Film Festival and was warmly received at both festivals. We were the first film to sell out at Palm Springs last year. Daily Variety gave us a favorable review in their Palm Springs wrap-up ­ stating that "House of Luk" was "well-executed and emotionally effective". Since Distinct Features began we¹ve been very busy - and quickly evolving into one of the busiest and most dynamic production companies in Canada. In 2000, we shot three back to back features. Our films showcase notable talent ­ including Pat Morita, Eli Wallach, Teri Garr, Ernest Borgnine, Michael Moriarty and Graham Greene. We've developed a unique "micro-studio" system whereby we shoot very economical films - that look like bigger budgets. We have our own AVID suites including a Symphony but more importantly we have excellent editors, director, writer etc.. We are looking for partners for other projects that we're developing. At present - we have secured development funding from Telefilm Canada.
