FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
CINEMAVAULT ADDS BACALL THRILLER TO MIFED SCREENING LINE-UP
Cinemavault Releasing is pleased to announce that it will be screening
director Lewin Webb's taut new thriller The Limit during MIFED 2003.
Featuring an outstanding cast including Academy Award nominated actress
Lauren Bacall (Dogville, Misery), Academy Award nominated actor Pete
Postlethwaite (The Usual Suspects, In the Name of the Father), and the
talented Claire Forlani (Mystery Men, Meet Joe Black), The Limit is a tense
psychological thrill-ride examining the dark side of human nature.
May Markham (Bacall) is an elderly woman, living alone and struggling to
maintain her independence. When her eccentric next door neighbor, Denny, is
found murdered with a bullet in his skull, May's predictable day-to-day
existence is shattered. The murder triggers a visit from Monica, who claims
to be Denny's friend - and a police officer. But her intentions are anything
but legal. As Monica lulls May under the false pretense of friendship, her
real intentions slowly emerge: She is both a corrupt drug agent and the
girlfriend of crime boss Gale Carmody (Postlethwaite). And May has something
she needs.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
CINEMAVAULT ADDS CYBER-HIT TO MIFED SCREENING LINE-UP
Cinemavault Releasing is pleased to announce that it will be screening
award-winning director Lynn Hershman Leeson's critical hit Teknolust during
MIFED 2003.
Widely hailed by critics as "sumptuous and steel blue beautiful",
"brilliant", "intriguing and relevant", and "touching, cleverly visualized,
and wittily written", Teknolust's all-star cast includes Jeremy Davies
(Solaris, CQ) and "four stellar performances" from award-winning actress
Tilda Swinton (Adaptation, Vanilla Sky).
The film follows the story of Dr. Rosetta Stone, a shy and geeky virgin who
downloads her own DNA into an artificial intelligence program creating a
trio of clones named Ruby, Marine, and Olive. The clones have one defect -
they lack male chromosomes, which can only be obtained through sperm. Armed
with incredible powers of seduction, the trio descends upon the city to
"harvest" the semen necessary to ensure their survival. But when their
one-night stands start to develop strange side effects, the FBI is called in
to investigate, and now Dr. Stone is doing everything she can to keep anyone
from discovering her secret friends.
Teknolust had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, where it was
acclaimed as "the hippest cyber-fi movie ever!" It subsequently appeared in
the world's most prestigious festivals, including the Berlin Int'l Film
Festival, Toronto Int'l Film Festival, Hamptons Film Festival, San Francisco
Int'l Film Festival, and Melbourne Int'l Film Festival to name a few.
Cinemavault Releasing is handling worldwide distribution for the film and

States), ZDF (Germany), Cine Video (Mexico), 20th Century (Australia), Noah

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
CINEMAVAULT ADDS THREE CANADIAN FILMS TO MIFED LINE-UP
Cinemavault Releasing is pleased to announce that its 2003 MIFED screening
line-up will include three outstanding new Canadian theatrical features.
Rub & Tug, by acclaimed director Soo Lyu, is a sexy comedy released
theatrically in North America by Think Film. Starring award-winning
actor/director Don McKellar (eXistenZ, The Red Violin), Rub & Tug follows
the story of Conrad, the new manager at a "full-service" massage parlor. He
suspects his three female employees are having sex with customers and takes
drastic measures to keep them under control. But the three girls, played by
Kira Clavell (House of the Dead), Tara Spencer-Nairn (New Waterford Girl),
and Lindy Booth (Wrong Turn, Dawn of the Dead 2004) conspire to make
Conrad's life a living hell. World premiering at the Toronto International
Film Festival, Rub & Tug has already been sold to key distributors including
Seville Pictures (Canada), Quality Films (Mexico), New World Pictures
(Thailand), Videosonic (Greece), Tuck (Former Yugoslavia) and Noah Films
(Israel).
Sister Blue, by Vancouver director Doug Greenall is a dark psychological
thriller that takes sibling rivalry to its extreme. Lanalee (Clare
Lapinskie) thinks her disturbed sister is out of her life forever until Blue
(Stacy Fair) turns up on the doorstep armed with terrifying secrets from the
past. Lanalee is faced with a loathsome decision; invite Blue and her
boyfriend along on her private weekend getaway with her fiancé, or face the
secrets her sister threatens to reveal. Following Sister Blue's smash
premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival, Cinemavault closed deals with
Eagle Pictures (Italy), Quality Films (Mexico), New World Pictures
(Thailand), Videosonic (Greece), Noah Films (Israel), Tuck (Former
Yugoslavia), MusicBox (Middle East), Cinema (Ukraine), and TMN /

Touch & Go is a late-coming-of-age comedy from Gemini nominated director
Scott Simpson. Hailed by Variety as "quirky and original", the film stars
newcomer Jeff Douglas in this "breakout lead performance" as Darcy, a 28
year-old charmer with the life aspirations of a 15 year-old. When he
discovers he may lose his two closest friends, his longtime roommate, and
his job, Darcy realizes his perpetual adolescence is coming to an end.
Fighting off adulthood tooth-and-nail, he is forced to finally take a chance
and confront the truth about himself. Touch & Go will be available outside
of Canada for the first time during MIFED, Nov 9-13.
