Jah Bull and Baboo do not believe in traditional medicine for their

Dear colleague,
Let me present myself as Miguel Angel Jiménez, executive
producer of the production company Un Lugar en el Cine S.L. Our company
wishes to present you at the Marché du Film in Cannes our documentary
feature film A place in Cinema, directed by Alberto Morais.
The subject of the film is cinematographic resistance, understood
through a commitment and dialog with History, and is structured through
three film-makers:
The Greek master Theo Angelopoulos (Ulysses Gaze, Eternity and a
day) embarks from Athens on a trip, which ends in Ostia, the Roman
beach where Pier Paolo Pasolini (Teorema, Saló, ) was murdered. Far
from there, in a railway station in Spain, the Spanish film-maker Víctor
Erice (The Spirit of the Beehive, The South) reveals himself through
an interview whose discursive epicentre is the cinematographic
resistance.
In Italy, we meet Tonino Guerra (scriptwriter of Fellini, Antonioni,
Tarkovski, Angelopoulos), Ninetto Dávoli and Nico Naldini. They will
close, representing Pasolinis missing voice, the historical and
cinematographical triangle comformed by the three film-makers we want to
pay homage.
In another place, at another time, a projectionist travels around the
Balkans with his projector and a copy of Roberto Rosellinis Roma,
Città Aperta, on which bases one of our Historys mainstay,
Neo-realism. In each place the projectionist visits, he will show
Rosellinis film, projecting it outdoor.
All of them take part in a revealing and reflexive trip called A place
in Cinema
Almost all the documentary is already filmed, in Super 16mm
format, including the encounters with Theo Angelopoulos, Víctor
Erice The film duration will be approximately 100 minutes length and is
expected to be completed by Fall 2006.
It will be a great pleasure to have the opportunity to present you
personally in Cannes this fascinating documentary project when it best
suits to your schedule. A 20-min sample of the film is available. I will
be in Cannes at the RIVIERA STAND A1 / C2 - C5 from Saturday 20th to
Monday 22nd. Please feel free to let me know where and when would you
like to meet. We are open to discuss either a pre-sale or a
co-production basis, according to your interests.
Thanking you in advance for your interest and looking forward to hearing
from you soon,
Miguel Angel Jiménez

The Room raconte l’histoire d’Alex (Pascal Duquenne), un homme trisomique
festivals internationaux (Hollywood Film Festival, Luxembourg International
Film Festival, Toronto Rebelfest Film Festival…), le belge Giles Daoust
réalise ici son deuxième film long métrage.
The Room a aussi
métrage après Last Night on Earth.
Waterloo.
