Dear Yanhuai!

The lecture "Introduction to Diachronic English Linguistics" is often referred to as "Grundkurs B". Don't get confused with it, they both refer to to same lecture :-) You are right, the website designates the lecture as exercise. You'll soon find out why :-) And don't forget to register for the course. Have you already completed "Introduction to Synchronic English Linguistics" (Grundkurs A)? It would be advisable to do that.

I am not quite sure about Oral English 1 and Comprehensive Language Course 1. In previous semesters, all students (literature and linguistics) were allowed to attend to seminars. So it shouldn't be an obstacle for you. But if you want to make it sure, ask Dr. Mirbach about it. She will know.

The course "Einfuehrung in die EDV" is called "Introduction to Computer Based Linguistics". This semester, two courses will be offered:

Übung: Introduction to Computer Based Linguistics, Group 1 Kerz ÜT (2) Di 11:45h - 13:15h CREATE
Übung: Introduction to Computer-Based Linguistics, Group 2 Schreyer ÜT (2) Mi 11:45h - 13:15h CREATE

You may choose the course, but don't forget to register for it.

If you have already completed "Grundkurs A", your schedule this semester should contain "Grundkurs B". If not, start with "Grundkurs A" and continue with "Grundkurs B" next semester. As there are three or four courses each for "Oral English 1", "Oral English 2", "Comprehensive Language Course 1", "Comprehensive Language Course 2", you simply choose the seminars which fit your schedule.

If you have further questions, Don't hesitate to write again.

Best regards,

Nicole
