Liebe Lehrende, liebe Studierende,

wie Sie sicherlich wissen, beeinflusst der Streik der ASEAG die Mobilität der Studierenden und auch der Lehrenden. Das kann insbesondere Auswirkungen auf die aktuelle Klausurenphase haben.

Ich möchte darauf hinweisen, dass die Verantwortung für die Anreise grundsätzlich bei den Personen selbst liegt. Im Zweifelsfall kann ich nur empfehlen, hinreichende Puffer einzuplanen. Aufgrund der engen Zeittaktung ist es nicht möglich, Klausuren zu verschieben. Die Lehrenden entscheiden, wann eine Klausur innerhalb eines Zeitslots beginnt. Bitte achten Sie aber im Sinne einer Gleichbehandlung darauf, dass ein Warten auf einzelne Studierende dann für alle Studierenden in den verschiedenen Hörsälen derselben Klausur gelten muss. Allerdings empfehle ich, Studierende, die zu spät kommen, ohne Schreibzeitverlängerung zuzulassen. Ob der Ausfall eines Busses, ein gewichtiger Grund für die Nichtteilnahme an einer Klausur ist, entscheiden die Prüfungsausschüsse. Aufgrund meiner Erfahrung würde ich das aber bezweifeln und nicht darauf setzen.

Dear instructors, dear students,

As you will certainly be aware, the ASEAG strike is affecting the mobility of students and of instructors. This may also have an impact on the current exam period.

I would like to point out that is generally up to each individual to arrive on time. I can only recommend that you plan sufficient time to ensure that you arrive punctually. Due to the tight schedule, we are not able to postpone exams. It is the instructors who decide when an exam begins within a time slot. However, in the interest of equal treatment, please note that any time spent waiting for individual students must then apply to all students in the various lecture halls of the same exam. I do recommend that students who arrive late be allowed to take the exam, but they should not be granted a writing time extension. It is up to the examination boards to decide whether a bus strike is a valid reason for a student failing to take an exam. However, based on my experience, I doubt that they would grant any extenuating circumstances here and I, therefore, would not count on this.
