Liebe Studierende,

liebe Beschäftigte,

mit Wirkung vom 1. bzw. 2. Februar haben Bundes- und Landesregierung die verbliebenen, für den Hochschulbetrieb relevanten, Maßnahmen (z. B. Isolationspflicht sowie Maskenpflicht im Arbeitsumfeld) aufgehoben. Es gelten nunmehr die allgemeinen Empfehlungen zur Verhütung von Infektionskrankheiten. Rektorat und Krisenstab bitten weiterhin um einen achtsamen Umgang im Miteinander an unserer Hochschule. Dies schließt den Aspekt ein, dass sich Personen eigenverantwortlich weiterhin zum Tragen einer Schutzmaske entscheiden können, um sich und andere zu schützen. Wer an einer Infektionskrankheit erkrankt ist, sollte die RWTH weiterhin nicht besuchen.

Mit dem Wegfall der zuletzt noch geltenden Maßnahmen hat das Rektorat auf Vorschlag des Krisenstabs entschieden, die Krisenstabsstruktur nunmehr aufzulösen. Sollte das Thema Corona zukünftig nochmals an Bedeutung gewinnen, ist die RWTH jederzeit in der Lage, kurzfristig eine notwendige Struktur wieder aufzubauen.

Das Thema Corona wird nunmehr – wie andere Infektionskrankheiten – hochschulintern durch die Hochschulärztliche Einrichtung sowie die Stabsstelle Arbeits- und Strahlenschutz betreut. Sofern Sie Fragen haben, können Sie sich jederzeit gerne an die Beschäftigten in den dortigen Einrichtungen wenden.

In diesem Zusammenhang werden zeitnah alle noch vorhandenen Beschilderungen rund um das Thema Corona in den zentral betreuten Bereichen entfernt. Es bestehen keine Bedenken, die Beschilderungen ebenfalls in den Hochschuleinrichtungen zu entfernen. Die zentralen Informationsseiten im Internet werden sukzessive zurückgebaut. Informationen zum Thema Corona finden Sie zukünftig auf den Webseiten der Hochschulärztlichen Einrichtung sowie der Stabsstelle Arbeits- und Strahlenschutz.

Rektorat und Krisenstab bedanken sich abschließend nachdrücklich bei allen Studierenden und Beschäftigten der RWTH für Ihr Engagement und auch die jeweilige Besonnenheit in dieser für alle sehr fordernden Zeit! Auch in Zukunft werden wir in diesem Geiste etwaige Herausforderungen gut meistern können.

Dear Employees,

With effect from February 1 and 2, respectively, the federal and state governments will lift the remaining measures relevant to university operations (e.g., mandatory isolation and mandatory masks in the work environment). The general recommendations for the prevention of infectious diseases now apply. The Rectorate and the Crisis Management Team continue to urge all our members to be considerate toward one another here at our University. One example of this is that everyone is free to decide whether to continue wearing masks to protect themselves and others. Also, those who are ill with an infectious disease should still not visit RWTH.

With the discontinuation of these last remaining measures, the Rectorate has decided, at the suggestion of the Crisis Management Team, to dissolve the crisis management structure. Should the topic of Covid become critical again in the future, RWTH is always in a position to quickly rebuild the necessary structures.

Coronavirus, like other infectious diseases, is now managed internally at the University by the University Medical Center and the Occupational Safety and Radiation Protection Staff Unit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our staff at these institutions.

In this context, all remaining signage related to Covid in the centrally managed areas will be removed in a timely manner. There are no objections to removing the signage at the university institutions. The central information pages on the Internet are gradually being scaled back. In the future, you will find information about Covid on the websites of the University Medical Center and the Occupational Safety and Radiation Protection Staff Unit.

Finally, the Rectorate and the Crisis Management Team would like to express their sincere appreciation to all students and staff of RWTH Aachen University for their commitment and for remaining calm and considerate during this very challenging time for everyone! With a community spirit like this, we are confident we will also be able to cope well with any challenges in the future.
