We want to give a select group of open-minded students the opportunity to participate in this dynamic process. A cross-cultural internship in this fast-growing subcontinent will provide interns with a fascinating view into India’s business and cultural traditions.

Approximately 25% of our employees are located in India, and we are keen to promote intercultural understanding through integration in the practical work experience in India for recent graduates in Germany. The internship includes a cultural element as well as participation in a social development project which enables the interns to get the opportunity to acquire an insight of the diverse aspects of the captivating Indian society.

*Ihre Aufgaben:* During your work placement, you will support our staff in Chennai (India) in processing various projects. In a new environment, you will get to know the tasks and working methods of a production company in the publishing sector – from the receipt of an author’s manuscript to the ready-to-print document. Your tasks will include: Structuring various articles Technical text processing General support in the advertisement department Database management

*Unsere Anforderungen:* Completed degree Very good MS-Office skills Self-initiative Study or work experience abroad would be an advantage Social competence and ability to work under pressure

German (native language, excellent language skills) • English (working knowledge) • Third language would be a great advantage: French, Dutch or Portuguese

Willingness to engage in daily work process and openness for different living conditions in India as well as interest in Indian culture is a key factor. You will need in particular the ability for integration and tolerance and the capability to fit in new situations (adaptability).

Start Date: 01.07.2006 Duration: 3 months

Remuneration: 200.-- EUR/month plus accomodation, travel and maintenance expenses
