The Aachen Technology
        Center develops software systems for petroleum geologists
        world-wide. PetroMod* petroleum systems modeling software
        combines seismic, well, and geological information to model the
        evolution of a sedimentary basin. PetroMod software will predict
        if, and how, a reservoir has been charged with hydrocarbons,
        including the source and timing of hydrocarbon generation,
        migration routes, quantities, and hydrocarbon type in the
        subsurface or at subsurface conditions.
 
We are offering a
        challenging internship during the final phase before our next
        major software release. Join our team of geologists,
        mathematicians, physicists, and philologists and participate in
        all major aspects of creating software documentation: 
Planning new
        documents
Attending meetings
        with developers and engineers
Creating screenshots
Proofing / editing
        documentation
Testing documentation
        against software
Writing and
        typesetting your own workflow descriptions 
Requirements:
Ability to write
        fluent English
Attention to detail
        and accuracy, thoroughness
Technical
        understanding (Geology a plus but not a must)
Familiarity with
        Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, Framemaker and Snag-it a
        plus
