Hi,
Now all final versions including all fixes to the
LNCS style issues found by Shaun are uploaded.
I removed all old files. I will send a confirmation
mail to all corresponding authors.
As far as I am concerned I think I am done.
Have a nice weekend,
jean

I will monitor my email over the weekend to see if the Hunke/Kim paper

This is the situation as I see it.
1) Hascoet - paper needs minor formatting changes, cannot establish
contact with the author. Co-author contacted. Source files are present
I could make the changes in 20 mins.
2) Kowarz - COMPLETE
3) Kharche - COMPLETE
4) Giering/Kaminski - Has this paper been approved by Chris? Latest
version on web-site needs reformatting (wrong style file) and a couple
of minor edits. JUST been contacted by Kaminski who says they are
working on it.
5) Bartlet - COMPLETE
6) Strout - COMPLETE
7) Hunke/Kim - Chris has approved technical content. I have been sent
pdf (but not source) of "minor changes". I have asked Kim to make
several formatting changes and advised him to improve the English in
places (some sentences don't make sense!). Cannot establish contact
with Kim and have emailed co-authors.
8) Kreasack - version on web of 17th is nearly OK, I've edited for minor
formatting and asked Kreasack/Hovland to approve.
9) Sandhu - COMPLETE
I'm most worried about the Hunke/Kim paper since we don't even have the
latest source and I've yet to establish contact.
I'm unable to establish whether the Giering paper has been technically
approved - Chris can you please clarify this please.
I can arrange to be online periodically over the weekend and I can even
finalise the Hascoet paper (I don't like doing this but its minor
capitalisation and punctuation).

Folks,
FYI. I received updated versions of the three papers I am

Uwe, will you join me in my office this afternoon or if not,
under what no. will you be available? As for the others, I assume that

Hi,
of the four papers assigned to me I see so far 2 revised version uploaded
(Hascoet and Kowarz). For Kreaseck we had settled on the 13th and
with Bartlett I just had an interesting phone conversation.
He told me he didn't realize he had assigned himself as the
corresponding author and therefore had tacitly ignored my e-mails until
this morning.
Supposedly they are working on the revision now and will upload
something later tonight.
Just FYI.
Talk to you tomorrow.

Dear Paul,
Can I just point out that we gave you notification of acceptance on or
about 23rd January, at least a week ahead of the "official notification"
you received direct from the organisers. The paper rejection rate for
the conference was I think something like 60-70%. In many workshops and
the main track this can only have been achieved by pretty harsh
rejection criteria. We have tried to be a little more generous in order
to keep the workshop alive, less than 8 papers and it would have been
killed, but this does mean we have to spend a little longer checking the
revised papers than we should have done. The organisers were always
going to have been struggling with the original 7th receive and 10th
accept deadline. Since we didn't know about the extension to the 19th
until we'd sent out our acceptance then we decided to keep the 7th as it
was with the view that this would give us time to clear up problems with
any of the authors who were struggling to get the corrections done!
We do not want to be unreasonable. I've already checked with Uwe and,
provided Chris or Jean don't object, perhaps you could make a considered
review of the referee's comments for the Kreaseck paper and report back
to us by Weds 8th 14:00 GMT, via Jean if you need to talk, with progress
to date and an assurance that you are able to address all issues. We are
having a review meeting for the revised papers later that afternoon. If
you would then send the fully revised version on to us by Friday 10th in
time that Jean can review over the weekend then we can get back to you
with any hopefully minor (e.g. formatting) issues on the 13th/14th.
I hope this answers the questions you raised and gives you the time to
make the changes requested.
Regards
Shaun

Just to let you know I have had a nightmare contacting Adrian Sandhu and
only established communication at the end of last week. He's just
confirmed he's happy to make the changes but I've said the 10th will do
for the re-submission. Trust that's OK
