Dear all,

Thank you so much for your support and confidence, and for the nice words of encouragement I received from many of you!

We may have beaten the record in the total number of votes (32) for such an election, which clearly means that TC6 members are very concerned about our future. This is very encouraging. Thanks to Peter, Brigitte and André for organizing this ballot.

The challenges ahead of us are indeed substantial and will require a strong involvement of all of us. I'm sure I can rely on you, and in particular on Otto for transferring smoothly the responsibilities and his knowledge in the coming weeks.

I also take this opportunity to congratulate you, Otto, for leading TC6 successfully and for maintaining its strong position in IFIP.

I hope we'll spend 3 lively and pleasant years together, and contribute to the required strong mutation of IFIP.
