I notice the program for the IEEE International Conference on Wireless LANs and Home Networks includes a Keynote speech from Dr. Leonard Kleinrock, who is described as an "Inventor of Internet Technology".
 
If you're interested in the history of packet-switching, the (D)ARPAnet and the internet, earlier this year the Computer Journal (Volume 44 number 3, issued) published posthumously a paper by my illustrious predecessor Donald Davies entitled "The Beginnings of Packet Switching".
