Broadband Networking and Protocols Symposium (BNP)

Broadband networking has evolved tremendously in recent years. On one hand, demand for broadband services has risen to an unprecedented height. On the other hand, the advent of revolutionary broadband networking technologies has opened up numerous exciting opportunities for research and development in new broadband network architectures, protocol design, media access, resource management, security problems, etc.
This symposium focuses on recent advances in broadband networking and protocols that reflect various aspects in broadband network architectures as well as algorithms, protocols, and applications operated on broadband networks. It aims to foster the interaction of researchers and the exchange of new ideas by bringing together members of the networking and communications communities. The technical program of the symposium consists of regular papers and posters. We solicit original and unpublished research papers that address various aspects of BNP, including, but not limit to, the following topics:

• Broadband network architectures
• Broadband satellite systems
• QoS routing in broadband networks
• Security issues in broadband networks
• Multimedia broadband services: IPTV, VOD, etc
• Resource management architectures
• Multicast and broadcast protocols
• Multimedia QoS and traffic management
• QoS pricing protocols
• Broadband wireless access (BWA)
• Cross-layer optimization for broadband networks
• Performance analysis and evaluation
• Future requirements for broadband networks
