Dear Otto,

As another year draws to a close, I have pleasure in recollecting how much we have appreciated working with you over the past years. Now I can still vividly recall the impressive scenes all the TC6 members spent together, especially the TC6 meeting hold in Beijing in 2000.

As you know, I am working for 40 hours a week in Tsinghua Dascom company and write 1-2 books for Tsinghua University Press each year, which means a severe strain on a 70 years old person's intellectuall & physical resources, So I decide to retire totally.

Now I take great pleasure in introducing to you Mr.Lin, professor of Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, who is well on his way to establishing an equally high reputation, I think he is the right person to take over my responsibility in IFIP-TC6. Attached is his resume. IFIP CHINA will write formal recommendation letter to IFIP Committee.

With the coming new year, I would like to wish you & all the TC6 members a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
