Dear TC6 national delegates and WG chairmen.

We are now ready to enter the last stage of the TC6 Chairman election.

The two candidates are

Otto Spaniol
and
Ramon Puigjaner

Both had to provide
- a short CV with an emphasis to the TC6 related activities
- a statement of interest for the TC6 Chairmanship position. Why do they
want to be chairman, what activities they intend to continue, to
discontinue, to create, what will change in TC6 under their leadership.
- a statement about the way they see the relationship between them (as TC6
chairman) and the Council and the General Assembly.
You will find as attachments their contributions in two formats
- MS Word
- pdf (PDF attachments in an second message)MODIFIED

We will proceed to an electronic vote.

In Oman we set up the details of the procedure

Taking into account the hectic situation of the spam polluted mail environment and the protection introduced by some ISPs, it has been decided that your vote will have to be send to two people :
- Dorothy Hayden, IFIP Secretary who accepted to help TC6 even if the secretariat in Laxenbourg is still missing the people to replace Plamen
- Peter Redford, one of the oldest member of TC6 and the (un)official permanent secretary of our meetings.

Both of them have received from Augusto the list of the people entilted to vote i.e. the representatives of the official members of IFIP and the WG chairperson.
Of course the two hats does not allow a double vote...

Dorothy and Peter will, each on their site, check every vote. When the voting period will be closed, they will exchange their results.
If their is a discrepancy, they will have to check the origin of it and resolve the problem.
When they agree together, Dorothy will mail the results (to the TC6 mailing list)
Number of received votes :
Votes for Otto Spaniol :
Votes for Ramon Puigjaner :
Null and Abstention votes :

Abstention vote will occur if a positive vote is not expressed for ONE of the two candidates Null vote will occur if a positive vote is expressed for BOTH candidates.

I will mail to you the detailed instructions and voting forms in a separate email.

I take this opportunity to send you my best wishes for the next three years...
Andre
