Peter finds himself in need of help, and so he agrees to a ceasefire with some other outcasts: The talking tree-man Root, the raccoon Rocket, who is an expert for weapons, mysterious Gamora, and the aggressive Drax. When the true power of the ball is revealed, Peter realizes he has to unite the outsiders to save the universe.
