- Unser nächstes Social steht an! Das Social für den Januar ist am 28.01. um 19 Uhr. Wir treffen uns in der Bar "Zuhause" in lockerer Atmosphäre zum quatschen und eventuell Spiele spielen. Auch neue Leute sind gerne eingeladen vorbei zu kommen.

- Und wie jede Woche: Bei unseren EA Workout Treffen steht die eigene Produktivität und Auseinandersetzung mit dem Effektiven Altruismus im Mittelpunkt.

Wir treffen uns am Mittwoch den 29.01.2020, im C.A.R.L. Hörsaalzentrum im Seminarraum S08, von 18:30 bis 21:00

Viele Menschen, die sich der EA-Bewegung zugehörig fühlen, sehen ihr altruistisches Potential in der Zukunft. Schließlich könnten wir im Laufe unseres Lebens viel mehr Gutes tun, als heute. Doch was wenn wir in der Zukunft andere Ziele verfolgen als heute? Ist etwas dran an dem Klischee, dass junge Menschen voller Tatendrang die Welt retten wollen und dann mit dem Alter indifferent werden? In dem Vortrag zu “Value und Lifestyle Drift” möchte ich mit euch darüber reden, was für eine Verschiebung unserer Werte wir erwarten sollten und ob wir etwas dagegen tun können.

Die Treffen sind offen für alle. Also auch wenn ihr noch nie vom Effektiven Altruismus gehört habt könnt ihr gerne vorbeischauen!

- Our next social meetup is right around the corner! January's social will be on the 28th at 7 pm. We will meet at the bar 'Zuhause' for causal chatting and possibly playing board games. If you are new to EA we especially want to encourage you to come by and say hello!

- And like every week: At our EA workout meetings, the focus is on your personal productivity engagement with Effective Altruism.

We meet on Wednesday, January 29nd, 2020, in the C.A.R.L. lecture center in room S08, from 6:30pm to 9pm.

Many people inside EA see their altruistic potential in the future. After all, we might have more resources to do good in the future. But what if we have different goals in the future as well? Is it true that people want to change the world in their 20s but eventually settle down? In the talk “Value and Lifestyle Drift“ I want to talk about how our plans might change in the future and how we might want to adjust them today.

The meetings are open to anyone. So even if you've never heard of Effective Altruism, we're happy to see you.
