This is to inform you about and invite you for new events organized by the International Office and student clubs.
Beach House 2008 - MO June 23rd - SA June 28th
* Since the sun and the beach are definitely most attractive we will bring the beach to Aachen this summer! The sunlight and about 20 tons of sand will plunge the terrace of Humboldt House, Pontstr. 41, into a Mediterranean atmosphere. Everyone is welcome to join in and enjoy! A number of big and small, exciting and relaxing events will take place during the international European and Mediterranean Week in Humboldt House under the slogan Beach House 2008: An exhibition about the Mediterranean Union, international food party, live music, human table soccer, limbo contests, drum workshops, sand castle engineering competitions, the semi finals of the UEFA football championship on large open-air silver-screen and, of course, the irreplaceable beach bar. Prepare for a great deal of action during these days. Whoever simply wants to lean back and relax, feel free to make yourself comfortable on our canvas chairs...
* The Beach House is organized by the International Office and the international student clubs of RWTH for the first time this year. More details about the programme will soon be published.
Further events which might be of interests for doctoral students are: open air theatre, visit to the cathedral and treasury, excursion to Julich Research Center
