Synopsis:
Making Waves is a romantic comedy about a group of disparate ham-radio enthusiasts. These include a lonely video-store owner, a drunken Russian cosmonaut marooned on the space station Mir, a paranoid conspiracy nut, an ex-biker on a wheel-chair and an elderly Welsh priest. Two of them exaggerate who they are on the air-waves assuming they'll never actually bump into each other. Unfortunately, when they fall in love with each other's imaginary personas things start to get complicated - especially when they find themselves having to meet face-to-face and are forced to try and live up to their fictitious alter-egos.

Set in 2010, Luminal is the story of a friendship between two young girls on the urban backdrop of Paris and London night excesses. It shows the inside view of a wild trip through their psyche, as they try to make some sense of their lives. French actor Denis Lavant (Beau travail, Les Amants du Pont Neuf, Unkle ‘Rabbit in the headlights' video) plays the schizophrenic mentor that controls the lives of two teenagers - Demon (Jemeela Mustchin) and Davi (Maria Papas) - who are lost and drifted towards a futuristic urban dystopia. The film is based on Isabella Santacroce's novel Luminal, a highly celebrated Italian novel.

Synopsis:
Antonio Sterni is a lonely young man without any family roots. He works for a mafia boss, Don Eugenio, unaware that he is the one who killed his father. Don Eugenio gives Antonio a special job: the delivery of a car to a Russian mafia boss, in Switzerland. During the drive, Antonio meets an ex— champion boxer from Argentina, Carlos Avileda, who rescues Antonio from a fight with a drunken truck driver. To thank him, Antonio gives Carlos a ride to Switzerland as he is going there on a mission too: he is looking for the man who destroyed his boxing career. They have many adventures together during the trip and as their friendship grows stronger, Carlos decides to take Antonio's place and deliver the car himself — once discovered it is a trap, Antonio does not make it in time: the Russian mob boss kills Carlos. Antonio returns to Naples and vindicates his now dead friend Carlos by killing Don Eugenio.
