Dear Friends,

We're extremely glad to announce a last-minute addition to our line up for Mifed 2003.

                                                                                                                            CRASH

Los Angeles... 2 cars crash... A body is found on the side of the road... Who 's connected to the brutal murder

CUT TO: 24 hours before as we weave into the lives of eight people as they connect with each other in a hotbed of racial tensions, a journey that eventually collides head on with the cop who's investigating the murder.

The film is written and to be directed by Paul Haggis  (2 time Emmy Award winner, Golden Globe, Humanitas Prize, and creator/writer/director of TV series such as WALKER TEXAS RANGER, DUE SOUTH, EZ STREETS, FAMILY LAW...) In March 2003 , Razor Magazine made a list of "nonconformists that defy dictates, the iconoclasts that cling to independent thought, the radicals that refuse adherence, that give us pause. They are what legends are made of." Along with Sam Shepard, Baz Luhrmann, Richard Branson, John Irving and Bill Clinton, Razor Magazine named Haggis one of its "25 Mavericks of our time."

Confirmed cast:

Hansen - Heath Ledger (Terry Gilliam's THE BROTHERS GRIMM, THE PATRIOT)

Rick - Brendan Fraser (THE MUMMY, LOONEY TUNES, GODS & MONSTERS)

James Muro (OPEN RANGE) is the cinematographer.

Cathy Schulman and Bob Yari are producing for Bull's Eye Entertainment.

The film begins shooting on December 9, 2003.

A US theatrical deal similar to the Charlize Theron's MONSTER deal is in place with Blockbuster/DEJ coming for US video-TV rights and theatrical P&A, and the producers are in discussions with different distributors for the theatrical release.
