NEWS FROM MONTREAL
The 29th Montreal World Film Festival (Montreal International Film Festival)
opened August 26 plays until September 5, 2005. The program offers
a broad selection of films from five continents. The MWFF will screen 342 works
(180 features, 14 medium-length films and 148 shorts) from 70 countries.

The Oporto International Film Festival, now going to its 26th edition, specializes in fantasy
and science-fiction films in its Official Competitive section.
The Festival runs now in 4 theatres (2,600 seats altogether ) and screens nearly
200 NEW feature films each  year.

6) Independent Film Forum November 14, January 31, 2006.
Independent Film Forum (IF2) is a free online community where you can share, watch,
and critique independent films sponsoring a free online film festival from November 14,
2005 through January 31, 2006.  The winner will be determined by the registered users of the site,
as well as ten professionals from the entertainment industry.
