<http://www.happytogether.us/> Happy Together Film & TV
Dear Friends,
Welcome to Happy Together Film & TV with our exciting world-premiering
lineup at Cannes 2006!
We are thrilled to debut the very first two feature films from the newly
launched label "JAPANESE BREAKTHROUGH FILMS" by BS-i and King Records: The
Curse of Nobuhiro-san and Love on Sunday. Director Keisuke Toyoshima mixes
the traditional Japanese ghost stories with Neo-Hitchcockian suspense to
create a new brand of J-Break horror--a unique, dazzling approach that sets
it apart from all other horrors! Love On Sunday, starting as 20 hit TV
romantic love stories, has just been made into a big screen feature film now
under the new label "Japanese Breakthrough Films."
As led by now-world-famous directors, Takashi Shimizu (The Grudge), Norio
Tsuruta (Ringu 0), and many other masterminds of J-horrors, the TALES of
TERROR anthology returns again with the all-new feature-length, The Haunted
Apartments and 33 more brand new episodes. Veteran director, Akio Yoshida,
brilliantly weaves multiple stories collected all over Japan into one
seamlessly produced 93 minute feature film.
Spanning the globe in search of exotic and extraordinary horror films, we
also are proud to present the distinctive selection of horror: 15th Door and
The House of Horror. The Seagate award-winning 15th Door is the world's
first film in the English language on the deadly power of Indian black magic
with stunning heavy CGI. From over 900 scripts entered into the Pan-Latin
America Script Competition, nine of the best-written horror stories were
adapted to produce the exclusive The House of Horror.

CO-PRODUCTION MEETING IN CANNES
Dear Claus Schotten
Chop Productions are seeking co-production partners to produce a feature film in South Africa, based on a Zakes Mda novel, "The Heart of Redness". Our company has a 2 year option to produce the film.
Camagu, a 40 year old Black man, returns to South Africa after 30 years in exile in the USA to find that his obscure qualifications and lack of "struggle credentials" leaves him unemployable, disillusioned and somewhat embittered. The story takes a neat turn as he is catapulted into a drama that is unfolding on the shores of the notorious "Wild Coast", played out by a host of richly developed rural characters who's antics are both humorous and tragic. Camagu is embroiled in an amusing love triangle, a battle against casino developers and a journey of African self discovery. Through an accessible and entertaining contemporary story, the film deals with a seminal and controversial South African history, the Xhosa Cattle Killing or Great Suicide, and brings forth pertinent perspectives of colonialism, African-ism and imperialism.
Chop, once partnered with suitable co-producers, will be able to unlock a wealth of South African financing, most notably a 25% Department of Trade and Industry rebate. We anticipate the overall budget of the film being in the region of $6m.
We would be very interested in meeting with you during the Cannes festival to discuss the project and attachments further. We will be in Cannes between the 17th and 24th May. Please revert back to us with a suitable date, time and place for an appointment.
We look forward to meeting with you in Cannes.

Sortie belge du film long métrage
« The Room »
un thriller fantastique belge
de Giles Daoust avec Pascal Duquenne
Cinémas UGC, Kinepolis, Imagix, Acinapolis et Carollywood
Bande annonce sur <http://www.titlefilms.be/theroom>

<http://www.titlefilms.be/theroom>
The Room raconte l’histoire d’Alex (Pascal Duquenne), un homme trisomique
festivals internationaux (Hollywood Film Festival, Luxembourg International
Film Festival, Toronto Rebelfest Film Festival…), le belge Giles Daoust
réalise ici son deuxième film long métrage.
The Room
métrage après Last Night on Earth.

Hello,
I send you in attached files, the poster and the trailer of my last
short film The cross roads .
My short film has already appealed to many people and it will be in Cannes
in the Short Film Corner selection (17-27 May) and also in the famous
festival of La Ciotat, in France, (May 30th June 3rd).
I will be also in Cannes and I would really appreciate it if you could spend
the time to watch my film (subtitled) which was shot with a budget of only 2000 Euros.
My film is about the period of the Second Worlwide war. Im myself passionate
by this subject and, as French, I regret that any french fiction is exposing
the sacrifice of so many soldiers from abroad. Without them we would not be
here today.
French movies about the war are only focused on the work, essential and heroic
as well of the Resistance movement. I deplore it sincerely.
This cannot help with the tension still happening between the USA and France,
especially since the war in Irak.
With this movie, the destiny of American soldiers meeting a European family,
I want to pay an hommage to all the men who fought and died in Europe.
My following project will be a feature about the fights who took place
in August 1944 in the South of France, (a subject which hasnt been treated at yet
in any motion picture to my knowledge), and will show the french commandos,
american paratroopers and french resistance going to action.
Today, I' m looking for partners and I would be happy to make an appointment
with you in Cannes to show you my new script which is of particular interest,
and also to set up a dialogue to do business with you.
We will be attending Cannes Market, let's meet.
Best regards
