GOLDEN NETWORK ASIA LIMITED CANNES 2006
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Greetings from Golden Network Asia Limited!
The Cannes Film Festival is upon us and we are very much looking forward
to seeing you again.
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce the newly completed
Thai film, Sarawut Wichiensarn's terrifying horror story, <Ghost Game>,
which will leave you breathless and white-knuckled with fear.
<Ghost Game> was the highest grossing film in Thailand on its opening
day and during its first week of general release (beating all Thai and
foreign films). It grossed 3.2 million Baht on day one, going on to
take 25 million Baht with admissions of over 220,000 in its first week.
We are proud to announce that it is now the third highest grossing Thai
movie in Thailand this year, 2006. (as of today)
It gives us great pleasure to invite you to our screening and we look
forward to reserving seats for you.
See you soon in Cannes.
Sincerely yours,
Lammy Li

In 1986, in a place from hell, more than 10,000 people were tortured to
death...
In 2006, 11 brave people will venture back into that space...
Death is not the end: the killed are at peace but their killers are not
Directed by Sarawut Wichiensarn
Starring Pacharapon Jantieng, Pongsak Rattanaphong,
Supatsiri Patomnupong
In Ghost Game, 11 contestants are locked in a war museum that once
served as a prisoner of war camp. There they will spend 24 hours a day
together in front of the cameras. But the high concept programming
behind Ghost Game will turn out to have far more disturbing consequences
than Big Brother. The rules of Ghost Game demand that contestants
provoke the wrath of all the vengeful spirits inhabiting the crumbling
walls of this former prison where thousands of innocent victims suffered
and perished years before. The last surviving contestant will walk away
with 5 million baht in cash.
Their senses inflamed by the knowledge that the most atrocious acts of
torture and murder once took place in their improbable funhouse, the 11
participants quickly find themselves trapped in a 24/7 nightmare from
which there is no escape. And what's worse, their panic, terror, tears,
screams, nervous breakdown and eventual show deaths are being broadcast
for the entertainment of a nationwide audience.

If it lasted only ten seconds, could you forgive her?
***************************************************************************
Tre, a nihilistic and physically dominant slacker, uses his brains, not his
brawn, to seduce a woman seeking revenge against her husband. The woman is
a brassy but vulnerable actress-turned-waitress named Nina, whose
principles, she says, force her to move out of the house because her
husband kissed another woman for ten seconds. Nina's more stable and
responsible friend Kakela plays host and witness to her illicit affair.
Seeing Nina fall from grace, Kakela begins to question her own devotion to
her fiance, Gabe. It is Tre who proposes the perfect experiment to test
Kakela's love for Gabe. The experiment only lasts for ten seconds, but it
sparks a chain reaction that could change their lives forever.

³A sales sensation in the mid-1990s, "The Celestine Prophecy" offered
introductory New Age metaphysics packaged in pulp thriller form.
Those who already "get it" will find a simplified but affirming illustration
of their higher beliefs in the film.
Prior converts will be pleased if not quite thrilled by a reasonably
faithful, compact screenplay adaptation; direction of telepic veteran Armand
Mastroianni; and Thomas Kretschmann ("King Kong," "Downfall," "The
Pianist") comes off best, mixing dash and humor with a credible spark of
enlightenment.²
Variety April 20, 2006
This film recently awarded top box office ticket sales during the Milan Film
Festival.
³This movie is just the antidote the world needs.²
The Celestine Prophecy is a spiritual adventure film chronicling the
discovery of ancient scrolls in the rainforests of Peru. The prophecy and
its nine key insights predict a worldwide awakening, arising within all
religious traditions, that moves humanity toward a deeper experience of
spirituality. The film features an international ensemble cast including
Matthew Settle, Thomas Kretschmann, Sarah Wayne Callies, Annabeth Gish,
Hector Elizondo, Joaquim de Almeida, Jurgen Prochnow and Obba Babatundé.
