Christine Rose let us know that she gets her inspiration directly from Michael Moores work, that she admires, despite the fact she doesnt met him yet: Moores
Bowling for Columbine touched the common citizen in America ( ). The answer to my own sense of duty as a citizen with a desire to convey information
blacked-out by the mainstream media to an uninformed public was to make a movie.
Cannes movies festival should be the opportunity for Michael Moore to see her alternative work; he would appreciate Liberty Bound which is definitely in the
same line than Fahrenheit 9.11. And if Moore is answering now Should this be happening in a free and open society where the moneyed interests essentially
call the shots regarding the information that the public is allowed to see?.
What is sure is that by being distributed by our France-based company Wide Management, Liberty Bound wont have such unexpected issue to face.
For the freedom of the 7th art, we are waiting to see you in Cannes, and we do hope that you will attend the screenings of Liberty Bound during the market.

MUKTA ARTS LTD PRESENTS
Subhash Ghai, leading Indian film maker invited to the Cannes Festival
-To promote his latest epic extravaganza "KISNA" which is being shot in
English & Hindi simultaneously-
Subhash Ghai, a leading Indian filmmaker will be in Cannes from 12th to 18th
May 2004 to promote his forthcoming film "KISNA" - which is being shot in
Hindi and English simultaneously so as to reach out to a larger audience
across the world. With 25 yrs of experience as writer, director and producer
and some of Indian cinema's biggest blockbusters in recent memory including
KARZ, KARMA, HERO, TAAL and PARDES etc behind him, Subhash Ghai has been a
pioneer in many aspects related to the Indian entertainment industry. His
company Mukta Arts is the benchmark for other companies in the industry to
follow. Mukta Arts was the first Indian entertainment company to list on the
Bombay Stock Exchange; and TAAL from the Mukta Arts stable was the first
Indian film ever to be insured.
Mr. Ghai has attended various forums on entertainment across the world and
is at present the Chairman of Confederation of India Industry-Entertainment
Sector. It is his experience, his passion and his forward thinking that has
made the French Cultural Minister Jean-Jacques Aillagon and Gilles Jacob,
the President of the Festival of Cannes Government of France invite him to
be a part of the round table on Anti Piracy at this years Cannes Film
Festival. The round table is a special initiative to confront the issues of
piracy and digital technologies. This round table will witness the presence
of Chairmen of the biggest movie studios around the world, including
participation from China, Russia, Europe and the United States.
Subhash Ghai has earned the respect that comes with being a veteran
director. Starting as a partnership firm in 1978 under his leadership, Mukta
Arts has grown in leaps and bounds to become the first Indian Film
Production Company to place an IPO in 2000. With 12 blockbusters under his
belt, there has been much appreciation for his work for his biggest Indian
blockbusters worldwide such as Karz (1980), Hero (1983), Karma (1985) Ram
Lakhan (1989), Saudagar (1991), Khalnayak (1993), Pardes (1997), Taal (1999)
and Yaadein (2001). The latest film produced under the Mukta Arts banner
'Joggers Park' too has received much critical acclaim including at the Cairo
and Canadian film festivals.
With Mukta Arts Ltd making forays into the entire business of entertainment
including distribution, state-of-the-art equipment for world-class
production and post production operations, today much of Mr. Ghai's time is
distributed between his two dreams- the setting up Whistling Woods
International, a $ 20 million world class film and television institute in
Mumbai, that would offer international standard training to Indian and
foreign students hoping to make a mark in the domestic film industry and
internationally; and "KISNA", his $ 6 million dollar period drama set during
film set during Indian independence for the global market which is scheduled
for by November 2004.
"KISNA" stars Vivek Oberoi, British actress Antonio Bernath and Isha
Shravani, a renowned dancer from Kerala in the lead roles along with British
actors Michael Maloney, Caroline Langrishe and veteran actress Polly Adams.
The cast is supported with a talented team of Indian actors including
Hrishita Bhatt, Amrish Puri, Om Puri and Rajat Kapur.
"KISNA" is an epic duel between 'Karma' and 'Dharma'. This musical love
story with an adventurous backdrop of 1940s in India has two veteran music
composers A.R. Rahman and Ismail Darbar with lyrics by Javed Akhtar - rare
music expected to surpass all Subhash Ghai films. Shot on a budget of Rs. 30
crores on sync sound under the Director of Audiography - Dilip Subramaniam
at Ranikhet in India, "KISNA" is being photographed by National Award winner
and renowned Cinematographer Ashok Mehta with another National Award winner
Samir Chanda as Production Designer and Art Director.
