Now in our third year as an integral part of the Bangkok International Film
Festival, (February 17-27, 2006) the Bangkok Film Market has proved to be a

They could have been brothers united by music, but are ultimately separated by Brazil.

A tour de force account on the tensions of the uneasy relationship between the white middle class and the black slums in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Told as a fable about the contrasting destinies of two children brought together by their parent's love of music. Miguel white middle class, Jorge raised in the slums. Fate intertwines years later during military regime of 70's as these young men become inmates: Miguel as political prisoner, Jorge as a criminal. Their reunion polarizes their status and exchange of ideas saw the first of the Red Command - the most powerful and violent drug trafficking faction in Rio today.
A generation later through their children the cycle repeats itself and their separation deepens.. they could have been brothers united by music but are separated by Brazil.
