Dear Friends,
Omega Entertainment is happy to advise its past, present and future buyers around
the world, that the first five of its great features are now available in their
2002 versions, with another ten to come after the holidays. The first five are:
BLIND DATE starring Kirstie Alley (Look Who's Talking), Marina Sirtis (Star
Trek The series), top prize at the sci fi and thriller festival of Rome.
HIRED TO KILL starring Academy-award winners Oliver Reed (last featured in Gladiator),
George Kennedy and Jose Ferrer. and Brian Thompson (Cobra).
IN THE COLD OF THE NIGHT starring David Soul, John Beck, Tippi Hedren (The
Birds).
NIGHTMARE AT NOON, starring Wings Hauser and Bo Hopkins.
THE WIND (EDGE OF TERROR) starring Meg Foster, Steve Railsback and Robert Morley.
All five have been directed by Nico Mastorakis, who supervised the new digital
versions, with scene-by-scene color correction, from the original negatives.
Very rarely you've seen such breathtaking quality in video masters, as Nico wanted
to preserve his work in the best possible form with tomorrow's technology make
possible today by a lab like 4MC in London.
To start with, never before available are DigiBeta masters made in original 16:9
anamorphic, great for DVD release or broadcast on TV systems which accept 16:9.
Both PAL and NTSC are originals, not
standards conversion. Then to make the 2002 versions more appealing, we did the
same in Academy (full frame) masters, for home video and regular TV release.
If you are into DVD sell-through release and television distribution, give this
announcement your attention. Ninety percent of the movies you buy, provide you
with old, non-digital masters. We at Omega care both for the quality of our product
and for the quality our distributors put out.
If you have interest, please e-mail us at omegap(a)aol.com. If you have already
received VHS of trailers, please note that those trailers are made from old analog
masters and they do not represent, in the slightest, the new breathtaking quality
of the digital masters.
Kind regards
