Sign up as a German tutor and get your commitment recognized (Certificate International) The International Office organizes German mentoring meetings in the Humboldthaus every Friday, 1-3pm. German speaking students act as tutors to international students and provide them with additional support in learning German. You can just sit and talk about different topics, exchange interesting information about your studies or read German newspapers or other interesting texts together. The International Office and Student Committee (AStA) of the RWTH will be arranging an International Concert in the Humboldt-Haus on June 19. As part of the festival, we are searching for bands or ensembles compromised of international students. We hope to include traditional and folk music as well as modern genres such as pop and rock and would like to provide a stage for you. A sound system and microphones will also be provided for by us. The duration of the performances would range from 30 to 45 minutes, although we can consider longer or shorter performances on request. Please forward this information to potential doctoral students who like to share their experiences with the newcomers. Requirements are German language skills, being enrolled at RWTH and staying in Aachen for more than 6 months now. More information can be found in the attached flyer. 6) Looking for a job or an internship position in Germany? Understanding German business culture - Training Session in English for international students Many problems that may arise during an internship or career entry can be avoided if you are familiar with different cultural standards. This workshop aims to facilitate the access to the German job market for international students by giving an insight into German work values. Together with the International Office, the Career Center offers this half-day intercultural training in English for international students.
