1) Get to know new people in Aachen - Come and join the Bebuddy Get together at Café Papillon next week

Our BeBuddy Get-Together evening gives you the opportunity to meet other students who are also part of this program and make new friends. The Stammtisch-coordinator will await you on site and guide you through this evening.

2) Few spots left – register now for the 2-days workshop on intercultural communication on Aug 29+30, 2019

Working in international teams requires intercultural competence, awareness and solution finding in possible conflict situations. During the two days, students are given the opportunity to develop their intercultural competence, a skills set which becomes ever more useful for all professional activities and which is thus looked for by prospective employers. As the seminar is held in English, you will also improve your English language proficiency. Therefore you should bring a basic knowledge of English so as to be able to participate in discussions and group activities. "Perfect" English, however, is by no means required! The workshop is targeting German and international students who wish to embark upon a study abroad period, who are active in international student organizations, or who would simply like to improve their communication and intercultural skills.

The workshop is held by Alexia Petersen, a Canadian with multicultural background who has lived in Aachen for many years. Ms. Petersen is a highly experienced trainer and consultant in intercultural communication, working with various target groups in both universities and research institutions, and international companies.

3) INCAS Omani Country evening – tonight @ Humboldthaus (Aug 13)

When: Tuesday, 13th of August 2019, at Humboldthaus Pontstr.41

INCAS and the Summer School of GUtech (German University of Technology in Oman) invite you and your friends to this wonderful event. During this evening, you will learn about Oman's history and culture. There will be the opportunity to try Omani food. Since the number of sitting places are limited, we recommend you to be on time. The event is free of charge.

4) Training: How to prepare the perfect job application

                            Starting your professional career in Germany soon? Do it the best way possible! The Techniker Krankenkasse and MexAS bring a special training to prepare you for the perfect job

5) Clash Of Nerds – Aug 14, 8pm

    Test yourself against other Nerds and see if you and your team can win the Clash of the Nerds. The Clash wild be held in the Humboldt-Haus next Wednesday the 14th of August at
