1) #RWTHhilft
The corona crisis is also a financial burden, especially for students. Together with proRWTH,
RWTHextern and the university itself, the action #RWTHhilft is to be launched with
scholarships of up to 600€. How it all works:
The AStA offers advice on the so-called social loans, which are given to national and
international students. This interest-free loan can be granted in cases in which students get
into financial difficulties through no fault of their own. Your studies should not be endangered
by financial crises, such as those currently triggered by Corona.
As a student you apply for your loan by sending the completed application to
soziales(a)asta.rwth-aachen.de . The application form and further information on the loans,
such as the maximum loan amount, is linkedhere: https://www.asta.rwth-aachen.de/en/asta-advice/sozialdarlehen/antragstellun…
More information can also be found at the ASTA website: https://www.asta.rwth-aachen.de/en/asta-advice/sozialdarlehen/
2) BeBuddy Podcast “new countries – new people” - produced by the RWTH Student Health Management
The tenth episode of the RWTH podcast “Corona und das Studi-Life” sets the focus on the
BeBuddy program and how our wonderful buddies dealt with the Corona situation in the past
months. How does it work to be a buddy during contact restrictions? How can I get active and
help international freshmen?
This podcast gives an answer (only available in German).
