Dear all, our long-time group member Arkady Ellern from Iowa State University in Ames will visit us in Aachen from September 7th to 14th. His visit is a good opportunity to have a small social gathering within the group. We are planning to host a breakfast or BBQ on Friday, September 8. Whether a BBQ or breakfast is more appropriate will depend on the weather on that day. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions/preferences or if you cannot participate on that day. Arkady is an expert on X-Ray Diffraction and has a lot of experience on teaching the basics of SXRD. If you have any questions regarding XRD or want to learn how to solve crystal structures his visit is a great opportunity. Best, Marvin
