Dear all,

As announced during the last group meetings I would like to celebrate (or cry) with you during a small get-together after my PhD defense that will take place next Tuesday (November 16th) at 10:15am in Aachen and will probably last until ~11:30am.

After the defense, food (see the attached menu) and beverages will be provided in room 201. It is the social room with the kitchen in the second floor of the main building (2020) of the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry in Aachen.

In order to get permission for this small gathering we need to follow the 3G rules. This means everyone who would like to come needs to be either “geimpft” (vaccinated), “genesen” (recovered) or “getestet” (tested). In all instances you need to be able to provide documentation. I think the closest test center is available at the Pontstraße (https://app.no-q.info/malteser-apotheke-aachen/checkins/#/1508/2021-11-10). I know that this is a sensitive topic and I would like to emphasize that it is entirely your decision and I will not be irritated if you are not coming because of this. Additionally, I offer to refund the cost of the test.

Most likely there will be too much food, so I will bring containers that enable you to take food home or to the office.

@ the colleagues in Jülich: Please do not forget that the PGI-6 safety seminar will take place on the same day (Tuesday, 16.11.21) from  10:00 - 11:00 am (in German) and 11:00 – 12:00 am (in English) via Blue Jeans .
