Dear all,

I hope this email finds you well. My PhD defense is scheduled to take place on the 24^th of July from 10:00 to 11:00. It would be a great honor for me to have you in attendance.

To celebrate the occasion and express my gratitude for your big support, I have planned a small gathering at our kitchen immediately after the defense. I will be preparing some drinks, cakes and cookies for everyone to enjoy.

Additionally, I would like to extend an invitation to join me for a celebratory lunch at Lai Thai at 13:00 pm, a Thai restaurant nearby. As I have yet to experience their cuisine, I believe it will be a good opportunity for us to try the flavors of Thai cuisine together :)

Thank you once again for your support and encouragement throughout my PhD period. I look forward to seeing you then.
