ftp://ftp.pure.ch/pub/smartlist/ I found a tar file in this directory. Two rconfig files. I don't have a tar program (will winzip work? nah, didn't think so!). Is there some way I can get this into my domain? Also, do I need both of these rconfig files? One is dated September 2000, the next October 2000. This program is supposed to create a web interface for performing many Smartlist tasks. Has anyone used it? If so, what do you have to say abot it. Please remember this is the same person who does not yet know how to access moderated mail yet. Yes, I am working hard to learn this as fast as possible so I can stop bothering you kind people. Thanks! Cindy

This are two versions of the same software. If in doubt take the newer one. The next version is rconfig2100 ;) rconfig can only be installed by people who have root access on the machine where SmartList is installed because all lists could be affected by the rconfig installation and the list master has to decide which files in which lists can be modified. rconfig depends on SmartList and like Smartlist it runs only on UNIX systems. You have to install it on the same machine as SL has been installed if you want all features but in any case you have to install it on a UNIX system. Each UNIX system should have some kind of tar. If you don't have any clue about tar ask your listmaster or your sys admin. Werner
