New user/List is not distributing
Greetings, I am using Smartlist as part of a hosting package. I have been able to configure the rc.custom file to restrict who can subscribe to our list. (Closed list) I have about 40 people already subscribed who I manually subscribed via Xcommand. But in testing this group, when I send a message to the group, no one else is getting them. Yet I get a copy of my post. I tested this out by adding a second e-mail address of mine to see if the second address would receive the post I sent from the first. Nothing is coming through. I am very new to this and can not figure out what is wrong and why mail is not getting through for the list. Can someone direct with clear cut directions on what might be wrong. I turned off auto-subscribe. I have been able to follow the FAQ fairly easily. My hosting service doesn't have a manual and the only one I saw online was very confusing. Please assist. thanks!!

The FAQ (link on www.procmail.org) should tell where the Manual is (in the Smartlist package!). It's always difficult to support people who have only limited access to the MLM system. In such a case your provider should support you with all the necessary information. Some hints for your problem: - are the adresses in the dist file? - is the dist file linked with the accept file? - what's written to the log with "VERBOSE=yes"? Werner
