I see no way to change this illiterate message.
That message is hardly "illiterate." It may not suit you, which is certainly your call (I've edited mine, in fact, for some lists), but there's nothing whatsoever wrong with it as it stands. Insulting someone else's work isn't a good way to request help.
That text in embedded in a script called "confirm".
You've answered your own question. With the confirm add-on (confirm is not a part of the official SmartList distribution, but is an add-on available elsewhere), edit the confirm_add script. If you are unsure how to edit a shell script, contact your provider. Charlie
"Reasonable good" is incorrect English (or at the very least, incorrect American). The incongruency grates on the ear and leaves a distinct flavor of illiteracy on the tongue. On Sat, Oct 31, 2009 at 10:35 AM, <charlie@lofcom.com> wrote:

I don't feel insulted because I am a german who learned english first in school and know that I make many mistakes (much more than in my mother tongue). However I would prefer to read about such shortcomings on private email first instead on the mailing list. I am astonished that after so many years this addon has been used someone complains about wrong wording. If I get examples of text in perfect english which are suitable for the confirm scripts, I would be happy to include them in the next release. Thanks Charlie for your comments (partly too flattering for me:). Werner

Changing "reasonable" to "reasonably" in the line "A reasonable good email program" would be entirely sufficient. Thank you for your work on what has become an unpopular mailing list manager, but which still gives me less trouble than any of the competition. Roger
