Charlie, thank you for your excellent suggestion. I just thought that since SmartList was providing the (deceased) list's functionality, the solution would have to involve SmartList also. Why use SmartList for this at all? Close down the list, and set up a simple vacation message off of the aliases. (Or even send a 500-level error with the error message, "This list moved to foo@bar") Seems to me using SmartList for this is serious overkill. Charlie
