Thank you both for your suggestions! I didn't even think of simply giving managers access to their dist files, but that seems like the way to go. I am going to either set up something via PHP that lets someone edit the dist file, or I am going to set something up that lets the managers edit the dist file locally, then upload it to the server. Do you guys know of any pre-written PHP code that allows for appending a line to the dist file, or even a web-based text editor of some sort? I'm thinking if it just opens the file, displays it in a text box, and then writes the file upon the submit button being hit, that would be fine. Any help would be much appreciated! -Hitesh Aidasani Asian Americans for Equality -----Original Message----- From: smartlist-admin@Lists.RWTH-Aachen.DE [mailto:smartlist-admin@Lists.RWTH-Aachen.DE] On Behalf Of Hitesh Aidasani Sent: Tuesday, May 14, 2002 2:53 PM To: smartlist@Lists.RWTH-Aachen.DE Subject: Subscription email OFF? Hello, Our non-profit organization is using Smartlist to manage its mailing lists for press contacts, donors, etc.. We have a web interface that lets the individual managers add/remove people from their mailing lists, but I was wondering if there was a way to turn the "you have been subscribed to so&so list" off. Instead of using outlook to manage sending emails out, I set up smartlist mailing lists for obvious reasons. They are complaining to me now that they do not want the recipient receiving an email if they are added to the list.
