Hi!
I've got 2 basic questions I'd really like an answer to. I'm new at this, so please forgive my ignorance:
1. How can I prevent non-subscribers from posting to a list?
Well I can manage that one, you need to set 'foreign_submit' in the rc.custom file for the list. It defaults to 'foreign_submit = yes' which means that anyone can post to the list. If you uncomment the line in rc.local which sets foreign-submit to nothing then you'll stop non-subscribers posting. The comments in rc.custom describe this pretty well.
2. Every time a subscriber sends an unsubscribe request, the answer is: "You have not been removed, I couldn't find your name on the list." In every case, the name IS on the list.
I'm not so sure about this one, make sure that the E-Mail address in the 'accept' file match exactly what the unsubscribe message thinks it's talking to. -- Chris Green (chris@areti.co.uk) Home: chris@isbd.demon.co.uk Work: cgreen@bcs.org.uk WWW: http://www.isbd.co.uk/
