I am trying to set up a list on an ISP server which does provide procmail. I have installed the smartlist software, and edited the rc.init file. I was able to execute the createlist command, which created the appropriate directories. Then I encountered the instruction:
Now make the following entries in your /usr/lib/aliases file: ################################################ testing: "|exec /usr/home/abwatson/users/slist/.bin/flist testing" testing-request: "|exec /usr/home/abwatson/users/slist/.bin/flist testing-request" ########################################################## And make sure to run newaliases afterwards.
Fine, except that
ls /usr/lib/aliases ls: /usr/lib/aliases: No such file or directory
Do these instructions assume I have root access to the server? Can smartlist be used with root access? Regards, -- Andrew
